Speech and Language Pathologist Qualifications
Responsibilities –
-
Evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of therapies for patients with speech and language disorders.

Regularly re-evaluate patients and document their progress and revise the treatment plan as necessary
-
Maintain documentation including daily treatment notes and reports
-
Work closely with families regarding their child’s speech and language disorder
-
Provide exceptional customer service to families and maintain positive attitude towards patients
-
Provide consultation to families regarding their child’s speech and language disorder
-
Maintain communication with patient support teams and providers (physicians, occupational therapists, school personnel, etc.)
-
Must maintain a high-level of professionalism and confidentiality
-
Maintain open communication with the office and fellow therapists
-
Work independently without supervision and use good judgement in challenging situations
-
Willingness to stay informed about current trends in speech and language pathology and continued development of professional skills
-
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
-
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation practices in the treatment rooms
-
Must be able to get down on the floor with patients
Qualifications –
-
Advanced degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC)
-
One year of Clinical experience as an SLP
-
Currently hold an active license to practice as an SLP in Washington State or be eligible
-
Current CPR Certification. CPR certification must stay current during employment
-
Basic technology skills – email, Microsoft Word/Excel
-
Possess required organizational, communication and interpersonal relationship skills
